Mother Seton Inter Parochial School

Dear Parents,

December is a month in which we prepare for many things, most of which we are not able to manage and make us tired. The church offers to us a better way to prepare for the coming of the birth of Jesus, which is waiting and preparing for the birth of our Saviour. Please check the bulletin for many activities to participate in with your children, such as the Posaditas and Christmas Novena. These will add meaning to your lives and give you a heart waiting for something, which gives us much hope. Let us wait with much expectation for the birth of Jesus Christ.

On Friday December 2nd is First Friday. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30am. in the church. This will be a 12 Noon Dismissal Day.

That evening we will have our Christmas Concert. The tickets are $5.00. Please send an envelope with your child’s name and grade and the amount of tickets. Tickets purchased at the door will be $7.00. We need to set up for the concert and need to know the exact amount. Young children are always most welcomed, but remember that this is a concert and we need to have complete silence. The young children should not leave the seats at any time during the concert. The children are to arrive at 7:10pm. into the cafeteria via the entrance near the gym. The concert will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

On December 5th and 6th we will host a Christmas Boutique. The children will be able to purchase Christmas presents at a reasonable price. For the younger children it is always best to send money in an envelope marked “Christmas Boutique”.

Christmas pictures will be taken on December 9th. A separate notice will be sent home. This is a Dress Up Day for the children, meaning no jeans or sneakers. Your children may take a “Family” picture for Christmas. The children may not take a group picture with friends unless a permission slip is signed by all parents. Friends will include all boys and all girls only.

December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and is a Holy Day. School is closed on this day.

Christmas Holidays start on December 23rd with a 12 Noon Dismissal Day with the After School Program canceled. Classes will resume on January 3, 2006. We wish all of our Mother Seton Parochial School family a most Blessed Christmas filled with the love of Jesus Christ, who brings much joy and hope to all who believe.
